Taxonomic and functional adaption of the gastrointestinal microbiome of goats kept at high altitude (4800 m) under intensive or extensive rearing conditions

چکیده

ABSTRACT The gut microbiota composition is influenced by the diet as well environment in both wild and domestic animals. We studied effects of two feeding systems on rumen hindgut microbiome semi-feral Tibetan goats kept at high altitude (∼4800 m) using 16S rRNA gene metagenomic sequencing. Intensive drylot resulted significantly higher zootechnical performance, narrower ruminal acetate: propionate ratios a drop average pH slaughter to ∼5.04. Hindgut microbial adaption appeared be more diverse group suggesting influx undegraded complex non-starch polysaccharides from rumen. Despite their fiber levels diet, grazing exhibited lower counts Methanobrevibacter genes associated with hydrogenotrophic methanogenesis pathway, presumably reflecting scarce dietary conditions (low energy density) when rearing pasture extreme alpine environments. These promote relevant abundance bacitracin genes. In parallel, we recognized significant increase antibiotic resistance digestive tracts summary, this study provides deeper insight into metataxonomic functional gastrointestinal subject intensive extensive altitude.

the effect of taftan pozzolan on the compressive strength of concrete in the environmental conditions of oman sea (chabahar port)

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...

Taxonomic and functional metagenomic profiling of gastrointestinal tract microbiome of the farmed adult turbot (Scophthalmus maximus).

Metagenomics combined with 16S rRNA gene sequence analyses was applied to unveil the taxonomic composition and functional diversity of the farmed adult turbot gastrointestinal (GI) microbiome. Proteobacteria and Firmicutes which existed in both GI content and mucus were dominated in the turbot GI microbiome. 16S rRNA gene sequence analyses also indicated that the turbot GI tract may harbor some...
